Calming Chamomile Lentil Sprout Bowl for HAT and Nervous System Support
This gentle, nourishing bowl combines fresh lentil sprouts with calming chamomile-infused broth and adrenal-supporting herbs. The recipe specifically targets nervous system regulation in HAT patients through apigenin-rich chamomile and magnesium-dense vegetables. Fresh herbs provide natural antihistamine compounds while supporting healthy DAO enzyme production.

Ingredients
◆2 cups fresh lentil sprouts
◆3 cups filtered water
◆2 chamomile tea bags (organic, caffeine-free)
◆1 medium cucumber, diced
◆1 cup fresh broccoli florets
◆2 tablespoons coconut oil
◆1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
◆2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
◆1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
◆1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
◆1/4 teaspoon white pepper
◆1/2 teaspoon sea salt
◆1 tablespoon macadamia oil for drizzling
Method
1Bring filtered water to a gentle boil, then remove from heat and steep chamomile tea bags for 10 minutes to create a calming herbal broth.
2Remove tea bags and return chamomile broth to low heat. Add turmeric, white pepper, and sea salt.
3Steam broccoli florets until bright green and tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
4Heat coconut oil in a large pan over medium-low heat. Gently sauté fresh lentil sprouts for 2-3 minutes until just warmed through.
5Add diced cucumber to the pan with sprouts and cook for 1 minute until slightly softened.
6Divide the warm chamomile broth between two bowls.
7Top each bowl with the sautéed lentil sprouts, cucumber, and steamed broccoli.
8Garnish generously with fresh chives, parsley, and dill.
9Drizzle with macadamia oil and serve immediately while warm.
Clinical Note
Better Kitchen is a functional nutrition companion, not a replacement for medical care. MCAS and HAT are highly individual — always introduce new foods slowly and track reactions with your allergist or immunologist.
